The most outlandish security holes in this forum depend on a lot of depreciated php features. Since those things don't work anymore by default non of the php pages work without fixing them.
I've replaced most mysql queries with prepared statements and added some guard clauses to fail early if POST and GET variables are not numeric where they should be.
The admin area now requires logging in on the index page of the admin area before any of the sub pages can be used.
